New Balance Numeric X Vu Skateshop 440 V2 Skate Shoes - New Balance Numeric and Vu teamed up on a very special 440 V2 that is a love letter to Baltimore and the surrounding area. Drawing inspiration from the NB 990v3 along the upper features a tonal grey suede, waffle textured tongue and reflective N logo. The grayscale upper pays homage to the Formstone material used in many Baltimore homes along with hits of orange on the tongue and heel tab to truly make this a Baltimore shoe. The insole features graphics by Vu Skateshop's own Chris Aguirre and tie in The Wire which took place in Baltimore. To take it a step further each pair comes with a custom blacklight so you can see the hidden graphics on the laces and heel tab that when hit with a black light shoe "410" for Baltimore's area code, Vu's cursive logo along with "440" for the model number of the shoe.
A worthy update to the most popular cupsole skate shoe from NB Numeric, the new NB# 440 V2 gets an updated toe cap that moves the stitching out of the high wear areas and added tack stitch to the eye stays for added durability. New Balance also added Abzorb to the heel and Ortholite insole for even more impact protection and comfort plus the added update to the quarter panel logo brings a nice modern touch to the 440 V2.
